Continuation from Nokogiri-yama post
I really liked Umi Hotaru. *o* Much easier to get to it and come back too Imho. >.>;;
Again, I went from Ikebukuro so this is if you're staying around the Tokyo area. If you're closer to Chiba you'll probably want to go from Kisarazu.
Unless you have a car in Japan or something, you'll be going by the Aqualine bus. If I remember correctly, the bus price for going to Umi Hotaru from Kawasaki was 1050yen. I forget how much it is from Umi Hotaru to Kisarazu... it was a bit more...? I don't remember how much the JR ride to Kawasaki cost. It was still kinda pricey but less than 1000yen? Idk.
Here's the website for the aqualine bus btw.
Note #1 - The buses start stopping at Umi Hotaru at around 9-ish and stop going there kinda early 5pm-8pmish depending on the day? (check the schedule >.>) so be sure to check the schedule because I don't think you want to accidentally skip the place or get stranded there. =[]=''
Anyway, I started off from Ikebukuro and then uhhh went somewhere... Nippori? Tokyo? Ueno? Either way, they all have the Keihin-Tohoku line which is the line I took to go to Kawasaki. They made us switch to another Keihin-Tohoku train near the end... at Kamata? Idk I didn't listen to the reason but yeah, listen carefully when you're riding any train because if you don't, you might find yourself going backwards lol. Sometimes there's a problem with the line or something.
Kawasaki Station

At the station there should be signs and stuff, you're looking for the #34 riding place (のりば/乗り場), exit (出口) #27/28.
Once you go down, there'll be more signs to where the bus places are

Anyway, the bus schedule should be posted nearby once you get there so you can see when the next bus LEAVES. The bus will most likely arrive quite a bit earlier than the time indicated and will leave on time. Just get on the bus and you'll pay when you get off. :3
Inside of the bus

You have some time to take a nap but please don't snore. ==; There was this dude in front of me snoring REALLY LOUDLY and it annoyed me like a;slkdfja;sldkf.
Umi Hotaru should be the 2nd stop. It goes Kawasaki (where you get on) -> uhh some place on the way -> Umi Hotaru. I think it's the same for Kisarazu...
Going through the tunnel isn't that interesting because you can't tell that you're underwater. =.= But then Umi Hotaru! There's quite a bit more to see than what Kokame showed us lol. Lots of shops and food and stuff. *o*

Clock hanging from the ceiling
Getting ready for Tanabata

There were a lot of souvenir shops and stuff but I didn't take pics of them. >.> I did buy souvenirs though. XD' I guess the melon bread (メロンパン) is the food to try here? There was quite a bit of melon bread related goods and signs saying to try the melon bread at this store (which I did try and it was pretty good but I can't compare because that's the only time I ate melon bread lol).
TheAkaKame family! Most of the scenery is on the top two floors although I think there was this one thing a bit lower... I didn't go down and see it lol. >.>

Once again, if it was clear... but even in the pic it was like "on a clear winter day" lol... summer just doesn't do it ;^;

Btw, the wind is reeaaaally strong. xD It was fun

The bell of happiness!

I had to wait for a loooong time for everyone to go away. x.x' And yes, I did ring it >D

Some guys were performing these songs

When going back, please remember that you don't go back to the place where you got off the bus, that bus will be going towards Kisarazu (if you came from Kawasaki) lol. x.x'' Go to the other side and there should be another bus-riding place that says 川崎(方面). UNLESS you plan on going to Nokogiri-yama afterwards (given that you have the time...), then go for the bus that goes towards Kisarazu.
Once again, if you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help!
