Mmmk so the two posts I've been putting off for who knows how long lol. Tbh, there's going to be at least one more post after these two because I still haven't posted my Asakusa pics yet either. =3=;; Meh.
Note #1: Might want to go with a friend... the rides are long and boring if you go alone. >.>
Note #2: If you're staying in the Tokyo area please leave the hotel early. LOL It will be a long trip.
Note #3: While it is possible to do it the way Koki and Kame did and just look at both this place and Umi Hotaru all in one go, there IS a loooot more to see than what they were able to see during ctkt. I kind of went out a little too late myself... orz
Ok! Soooo first off is Nokogiri-yama!
How to get there:
There are 2 ways that I know... you can go the way Kokame did with the aqualine, or you can just take the JR all the way, either way the trip will be a bit pricy. I went to Nokogiri-yama on one day and Umi Hotaru on another so yeah. >.>; Just for estimate's sake, the trip from Ikebukuro to Nokogiri-yama (one way) by JR was around 1700-1800yen. Yeah.
1)If you want to take the aqualine way, please look at my Umi Hotaru post. After you get to Kisarazu, take the Uchibo Line to Hama-Kanaya.
2)If you're just going to take the JR all the way, get to Chiba (which line you take to Chiba will depend on where you're going from, please feel free to ask for specifics). I was staying at Ikebukuro so I took the Yamanote Line to Akihabara, then changed to the Chuo-Sobu Line to get to Chiba. Once you get to Chiba it's all the same, take the Uchibo Line to Hama-Kanaya.
Ok, one thing that's kinda urk about this is that as you go further away from Chiba towards Hama-Kanaya, everything becomes veeeery old fashioned. The stupid driver stopped saying the stops out loud after a while too so I had to keep peeking outside to make sure I wasn't going to miss the station. ==; Also, the train isn't like the Yamanote Line which comes every like 2min-4min. After your trip you might have to wait for like 30min for the next train back comes.
The very old-fashioned Hama-Kanaya Station

See, there is no ticket putting in thingy (so eloquent) for this station. You have to give your ticket to the guy inside... I didn't have the right amount on my ticket (I was originally planning on getting off at Akihabara for a while) so I just stood there and stared at the guy for a while before looking clueless and going 「あの、すみません。。。池袋から来たんですけど。。。 *shows ticket*」 LOL. Then I stared some more before he finally told me how much more I had to pay for the ride. =3=;;

Nokogiri-yama shouldn't be that hard to find, there's like big signs near the station with maps that should say ロープウェイ yadda something... plus for the most part, you walk straight besides turning like once. Seriously, after you get out of the station, walk straight until you can't anymore, then turn left, then walk straight forward until you see a red gate thing with ロープウェイ.
Some scenery while walking to Nokogiri-yama

The red gate thingy

After you go through the gate.. just keep walking by everything...

Then you should get to the place... go inside and there should be prices for a one way/round trip ticket. Uhh actually, let me write out all the info on this paper they gave me. They should give it to you too all written in english if you say "round trip/one way" in english lol. I forgot the Japanese word for round trip, sue me.

After walking down a bit... This is the Nihon Dera I think

I walked back up because It was like 4:30-ish lol orz

The cat was taking a nap xD

That's it for this trip, next is Umi Hotaru~
Feel free to ask any questions etc... might not be able to help, but I'll do my best x.x
